Kolkata: Trinamool Congress Wednesday announced its six candidates for the northeastern states of Tripura and Manipur and the eastern state of Jharkhand.
In Tripura, the party's two candidates would be Vikuram Riyang from Tripura East and Ratan Chakraborty from Tripura West, Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee told a media conference here.
In Manipur's Inner Manipur seat, the Trinamool would field Sarangthem Manobi Singh, with Kim Gangte in fray from Outer Manipur.
The party nominated Bandhu Tirkey and Chamra Linda from the Ranchi and Lohardanga constituencies respectively of Jharkhand. The two legislators, who were supporting the Heman Soren government in the tribal state, had recently merged their outfits with the Trinamool.
