He has spoken out against the Aam Aadmi Party's decision to reverse the decision on FDI in retail in Delhi. He has called the tendency to label all dissent within the party as anti-party sentiment as similar to the functioning of the Gulag and he has blogged that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's demand for the suspension of policemen could be missing the woods for the trees.
Now, AAP member and founder of Air Deccan Captain GR Gopinath has said that Law Minister Somnath Bharti should be suspended too.
Responding to queries from The Indian Express, Gopinath reportedly wrote, "Asking four cops to be suspended on the pretext that those being investigated can interfere with fair investigation if they continue in office will apply to Somnath also as he's also accused in the present fracas during the raid on foreign nationals. So to be just, both must be suspended."
Former India Against Corruption member and former Karnataka Lokayukta Santosh Hegde also reportedly said the chief minister had violated prohibitory orders. "What sort of government is this?" he was quoted as saying.
