BJP supporters seeking Kejriwal’s resignation detained in Delhi

New Delhi: Around 200 supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), demanding the resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal were detained, a police official said Tuesday.

The BJP demonstrators were heading towards Rail Bhavan where the chief minister is holding a protest demanding the suspension of five policemen.

"The protestors were detained outside Akashvani Bhavan in central Delhi," a police official told IANS.

Vijay Goel, Delhi BJP president, who was leading the protest said: "Have you ever before seen Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) talking against Delhi police? This is an attempt to shift focus from their non-performance."

"Why did Kejriwal form the government if he does not want to run it. The AAP and the Congress are hand in glove in this. Why is Congress still supporting them," Goel asked.
