The Congress vice President who was in Assam for a two day meet, and addressed a women's gathering, was mobbed by some of the ladies present, with one kissing him on the head, while the other kissed him on the cheek.
Rahul, who looked a bit shocked at first, laughed aloud, but hurriedly proffered his hand to the next few 'empowered' women who swooped down on him, with the intention of getting their kisses in there as well.
The dimpled, rosy cheeked Congress vice president is often mockingly called Amul Baby and Pappu, but lets be honest - he's easy on the eye, and stands tall among a pantheon of political leaders who are, well... not known for their good looks.
Perhaps this is the secret weapon that Congress needs to propel their vice president forward. Or not so secret weapon given the array of Rahul mugshots -- ranging from clean shaven to Bollywood stubble -- that currently line the streets of Mumbai.
Watch out Narendra Modi, the beard is finally off. Now if only kisses were votes....
