He presented two sets of nominations, District Collector Bhanu Prakash told PTI.

Backed by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Choudhary was given the ticket by the party instead of veteran BJP leader Jaswant Singh.

Sonaram, a former Congress MLA had been vocal against former chief minister Ashok Gehlot and joined BJP last week. He was accompanied by his supporters.

Annoyed by the party not giving him a ticket to contest the elections, Singh had filed his nomination as an independent candidate on Monday and blamed party President Rajnath Singh as well as Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje.

"Raje would spend endless evenings at my place strategising and making plans for the future. Even for Rajnath Singh, I had backed him for the party president's post. Today these people have back-stabbed me," he told his supporters after filing his nomination.
